" I received this picture this past weekend and had to share it with you.Our good friends were watching 
Coda while Kyle and I were gone for the day.Since it was so hot, they opened the cooler for him to get 
a drink of ice water. As you know from previous pictures, Coda is a definitely a water dog!
 This just proves it even more."     (From what we hear,this handsome fellow even likes to turn on the 
water faucet so he can play in the water from the garden hose...So like his daddy Koda !! What a boy! Thanks C.H.)
 

"I wanted to share a great story with you because I know you will appreciate it as much as I do.  We have been teaching Riker to "help" carry things around the house.  He gets so excited to "help" and its a miracle that he is able to carry anything because his tail goes a mile a minute.  He has been doing well taking cans and plastic bottles to the garage to help recycle.  He helps carry in some of the smaller and lighter grocery bags and also carries small random items to help out.  This morning I was carrying some laundry downstairs and I had a bookbag that also needed to go downstairs.  I wasn't sure how it would go, but I thought he could give it a try.  He picked up the bag and realized that it was large and he was not able to carry it off the ground so he grabbed the top and pulled it across the floor.  Then he got to the stairs and realized that he was not going to be able to carry it so he stopped, grabbed the top of the bookbag, and then pushed it down the stairs.  I thought at first that it may have been an accident, but when he and the bag got the the landing, he picked it up and took it to the next top stair and pushed it down the last few stairs.  I was floored.  It is a true testament to how smart and eager Golden's are. 
 
I just wanted to share that great story with you and let you know what an amazing gift you have given us in Riker."

We can't believe that our son Kevin's 8 year old ,Buddy is still blowing coat in August !!
This is one gentle fellow and he is always a joy to have around.
