I can’t believe it’s been over three years since we saw you and picked up our pup Mason from Kyler and Meisha! We wanted to pass along a few pictures from our engagement session and wedding in September. Mason is fondly known as our puppy-son and has been the best thing that has ever happened to us!
Thanks Russ and Brooke and Congratulations
Just wanted to give you an update on Scarlett ( TJ and Kyler puppy ). She is truly amazing!! We couldn't be any happier with her :). She went to the beach for the first time this weekend, and couldn't get enough of the waves and digging holes in the sand! She's super happy and healthy and brings a smile to everyone's face! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for letting us be the lucky ones to get to take care of her!
It's been almost a year since our little Kenley/Jovina boy was born---we named him Koda and my sister named his sister Scarlet.
We cannot imagine life without him. He has been happy and healthy from day 1 and we get compliments on his looks (especially the color and smoothness of his coat!) and personality everyday. He is a silly boy and LOVES playing with tennis balls and swimming in the ocean. It's funny because he loves the water and swimming but bath time is not his favorite. He is beautiful and has grown to already 70 pounds! He is also very smart and loves to learn new tricks.
He also looks a lot like his sister, Scarlet. They get to see each other a couple times a year. They definitely remember each other-and they will spend a week together this July!
I wanted to send you a few pictures of our Macy. We are having so much fun with her and we just love her to death! Here are a few of the other puppies she has made friends with, a basset hound and a poodle! She also found a comfy spot to lay on my wedding dress so I had to capture that! We also took one of her discovering her love for sticking her head out the window in the car! And finally, her favorite place to sleep, on the fire place hearth. She has been the perfect first pet for us and we can't wait to come see you guys again in the future to get her a sister or brother to play with! Please let me know if the pictures don't come through! Hope you are well
Just wanted to send you an update pic of Sonny Maxwell. He is so adorable and well mannered.
We could not ask for a better pet. Sonny Maxwell is in his 5th week of puppy training and is coming along quite well.
It is a challenge keeping up with his energy but we are still very happy to have him in our family.
Thank you for breeding the best of the best.
Copper is 4months old. He loves camping, and as you can see has shed most of that puppy fluff and is a
beautiful red color. He is such a lover....thanks again, Julie, Dane and Ethan Z.
Zoe is growing very fast. She is very smart and into everything.
She is very special and great with the little kids. Thanks Teri
Jaxson is 4 months old already! He had another great vet appointment and is weighing 35 pounds. Not sure how big most puppies are at 4 months.
He is going camping for the first time this weekend. Everyone comments on how beautiful he is. Thank you for breeding such an amazing puppy.
I have been meaning to send you an update on how Tank is doing! I have included a few pictures---
1: His first week home
2: I was watering the plants and discovered he loves to play in the hose---he looks like he is smiling:)
3 and 4: My son was playing around with the camera and taking some pictures.
As you can see---he is growing very quickly and turning a gorgeous color! He is also living up to his name
in terms of size---he doubled his weight in 3 weeks between vet visits---went from 12 to 25 and growing quickly!
He and our other Golden, Reese, get along very well and he is very happy here. We start training classes at
the end of July but he picked up basic commands in just a few days when we brought him home.
We LOVE him---thanks so much!
I included some new pictures for you. That is Sam in the pool.
Cooper is the "Intellectual one" with the glasses on!
Thank you for all your help! We have 2 great dogs!
Just thought I'd drop you a little note and give you an update on Copper.
He is doing absolutely amazing! He's about 23 pounds right now.
Sometimes I feel like you can literally watch him grow. He's got a great temperament and stays very active.
We've been loving taking him on walks on these nice summer nights.
As far as obedience goes, we haven't started any obedience classes
yet, but he does have sit, down, come, stay, and speak down
Hope all is well!
Dan and Olivia
Hope you got my last email about Caesar's birthday! Hard to believe
he's growing up so fast! Harder STILL to believe that our
Samson turns 4 today!!! He's simply the best thing that's ever
happened to me. Ever. He decided to join me at work today!
Looking forward to hearing back from you and hope all is well.
Samson, & Caesar!
HI Vickie, Nice talking to you!
I've attached two pictures of Mickey in our woods. He is about 2 yrs old in these pictures.
We just love him,and the funny thing is - all the cats love him too. When he goes outside all the barn kitties come running and climb all over him. I'll have to try to get some pictures of that sometime. As I said in our phone conversation, I am more concerned about getting a right "fit" for our family than anything else. This will probably be the last German
shepherd that I ever own, so I want to take our time and make sure he or she will be happy here in our family. Thanks - Roberta
Been a while since I sent any updates on Bentley. He's been doing great and is just about to turn 2 years old. Hard to believe! Seems like just yesterday I was bringing home a little 9lb ball of fur. Now I have a 73lb ball of fur. lol
I've attached a few recent pictures of Bentley for your enjoyment. J As you can see, he's developed what
I've heard referred to as a "snow nose".
It's coming back a little now that we're going into the summer but it pretty much went all pink over the winter.
But our big news is that we passed our AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy) test today! We went through the 10 weeks of classes last fall but failed the test only due to him wanting to jump at a persons face and lick them. I gave him a break over the winter from training and just let him be a puppy since I pretty much have had him in training classes since he was 5 months old.
Thankfully this afternoon though he passed the test with flying colors. Everyone commented on how great his personality is which can only be a testament to his parents and your breeding standards.
We're looking forward to working in the local hospitals, nursing homes, etc. going forward and trying to lift as many spirits as possible.
Samson turns one year old today and I thought I'd give you
a little update on how our not so little guy is doin! The past year
has been both great and crazy with a puppy at home! He's one of the most friendly dogs I've ever met and I get comments every time we go out as to how beautiful he is. Despite a destroyed cellphone charger and remote here and a pair of shoes and chair leg there...the year has gone off without a hitch! Keep up the amazing work you guys do at
Alzimm Kennels and Samson and I will be sure to keep in touch! Hope
all is well! -Nate & Samson
I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing of an
experience it has been having Samson. Obviously he's an incredibly cute puppy, but I think I take for granted what a beautiful specimen of a golden retriever he actually is. I told you about the way the staff at the vet raved about not only him but you as a breeder as well, but I had no idea what I was getting myself into haha. I can hardly walk down the street without getting stopped by an elderly
couple going for an afternoon walk, or a group of girls lying out by the pool, I've had complete and total strangers stop their bike rides to compliment him. Its constant! And Samson, being the ham that he is, will immediately roll over on to his back across their feet and just eat up all the attention he can get. His most recent use of his uncontrollable cuteness came last week when we went to go get his nails clipped. Not only did the staff go nuts about how cute he was, they fetched the workers from the back of the store to come up front to see him and get the chance to play with him. If that wasn't enough, we were also given the nail trim for free because "there
was no way we could charge such a cute puppy".It seems he's just shot up in growth these past few days! And is more and more energetic all time! I hope all is well and we'll talk to you soon!!!Nate &
Hey Vickie!Just wanted to give ya
a quick update :o)Samson and I just got back from his first visit to the vet today and he was a total champ! Not to mention a little heart breaker! All the nurses were fawning over him and his little green bandanna today. He's up to 11 lbs 4 oz and the vet said he was in EXCELLENT condition. She also complimented you guys on how great of
breeders you all must have been.Hope all is well!-Nathan & Samson
Alzimm Kennels! We can't believe Rae has already been home with us for 1 week......She is one smart pup, she can "sit," go
"down," "stay" a few seconds (pretty good for an
8-week puppy!), and "come" when called. She rings a
bell at the back door to go out. She'll learn anything we teach
her. She's so well-adjusted to her new home. Rae's first
vet visit went great, everyone who sees her just croons over her and comments on her beautiful color. In her 5-week picture on your website, she has her front paws crossed, well, she does this all the time.....it is so cute! Many, many thanks for one great golden
pup!!! (Amy S.)
Hi.we are having so much fun with Ginger. My daughter, granddaughter and I took her to the vet on the Tuesday after we picked her up. The vet and everyone there just loved her! She was tired and slept through the whole exam. Our vet gave her a very thorough exam and said she is a very good quality dog and had many good compliments of you guys!
My granddaughter is saying my puppy and every time I babysit her she thinks Ginger is going home with her..when her parent picks her up she says come on Ginger.lets go to Maddies house. She cries to take her everywhere even to
the library. The neighbors have all come to meet the new
retriever and she gets lot of attention.
Thank you! Have a
great day! DEbi
I can hardly believe it's been two years already! Samson
is doing great! The happiest, friendliest, most outgoing dog I've
ever met. No one can help but falling in love with him the second they meet him! We celebrated his birthday tonight by playing fetch and swimming in the creek for hours, his two favorite activities! I've attached a couple pictures of our little man to show just how far he's come, one from the day he came home and the other taken this
evening. I hope you, Kyler, and Sophie are doing well!
Best, Nate & Samson (Below: Handsome Samson)
there! I am Rickee A.W's neice and I was just informing you on the puppy she got from you in August 2010. Remington. He's doing excellent!! He's very big, soft, and such a lover boy!! I just adore that pup, even thought he's not mine. I wish he was! Remington (Remi) has gotten very big, and loves to play with his cousin, Brodie, who is a Creme Golden. They are the best of friends!! :] He loves his new home, and all of his family here! His birthday is coming up in June, and its soooo hard to believe that he's turning a year! Its crazy, but also exciting. :] Haley
Tai is doing exceptionally well in all departments.
He is the sweetest, smartest and the most beautiful puppy. (Anyone who meets him just melts). And, of course, I have fallen in love.
Just a quick note to let you know that Sam is doing great and her and Cooper are doing very well together! Cooper is once again running for the door, stopping, looking back, and checking that Sam is following. It is very fun to watch. They enjoy one another and play well. Thank you again and again! Enjoy the pictures.
Vicki, I wanted to let you know that Molly is the sweetest thing
ever, she is so spoiled already. We have not had no problem training her, she goes outside really well. I am so thankful that we traveled so far to get her. I would recommend you to
anyone. Thanks very much, Tammy and John
sending you some pictures of Liberty. She is a pistol, into
everything, diving into our laundry and just having a good puppy time of things. She is extremely smart and even comes to her name when called, well most of the time...... We are definately having a really fun time with her
is adjusting very nicely to her new home. She is doing
especially well with the potty training. She has had only a
handful of accidents and with no fault of hers. We just didnt
catch her quick enough. She has been a joy so far. She is
so dang cute!!! You just melt when you look into her sweet
She had her vet appointment on Tuesday and the vet said she
was in excellent condition. She got a dose of her shots and a
good bill of health.
you again for all of have done to help this puppy be what it is
Your family has been so wonderful and we will definitely
keep you up to date on her development and growth.Take Care - Kelly H.
are some current pictures of Molly. She is getting so big and
she is such a good girl. She is officially potty trained
and she is doing well at her puppy classes. Of course everyone
who comes in contact with her thinks she is just the cutest thing
they have ever seen. She is going to the vet for her second
visit on Tuesday. I am anxious to see how much she weighs.
has adjusted well to her new home. I think we will keep her J
have sent a friend your way that is in the market for a golden.
Her name is **** *****. Her daughter is friends with my oldest daughter. I hope things are going well on your end.
Thanks again for such a wonderful dog! We LOVE HER SO MUCH!!! Take
Care - Kelly
has attended her first "puppy training class" last Sunday
and did very well. The trainer was very impressed with
her behavior and her "willingness" to learn. She said
she seemed like a "very well adjusted" puppy. I told
her we had a GREAT BREEDER! Thank you again for being so
thourogh with the raising of your litters.
is going well. Loralei is starting to learn her name and now
knows the word "no". She and K-Fed are best friends.
They play gently with each other and cuddle with each other.
Everywhere one goes, you can bet the other will be following.
Just wanted to touch base and tell you how much we love Libby! She never made a peep the entire way back to Cleveland. She just snuggled and slept.
There has been a non-stop stream of
visitors coming to see her. She loves to be held and snuggles
with everyone. She is very easy going, that's for sure!
We will send pics soon...
Andrea & Phil K.
Holly is just great!! At her vet check yesterday she weighed just
over 10 lbs and everything was A-ok. Her big brother Weaver
adores her, but she' still not sure of him so we have been allowing supervised visits for now and she warms up more each time. She's slowly getting the hang of the outdoors=potty, but for the most part she's on target. Chews, chews, chews. We will send pictures soon!
is doing extremely well. I'm at heart a German Shepherd person, so you know this is high praise when I say that Mickey may be one of the most intelligent dogs we've ever owned! That combined with the natural Golden sweet temperment is going to make him an outstanding dog. Here are ththings he already can do at 3 months: Sit and wait for his food (he can eat only on my command), sit on command, down on
command, retreive anything thrown for him, bring it back, sit and release object on command. He also rings bells at the front and back door when he has to go potty. Any accidents truely have been our fault for not watching him well enough or responding to the bell ringing. He is also wonderful at the recall. He comes running to me at full speed on one command and sits in front. Training him has been effortless! All in all, we are very pleased with Mickey. I can hardly wait to start obedience class with him. All my life I've wanted a
great obedience dog and Mickey may turn out to be that special dog, he certainly shows great promise already. If he is like the other pups in the litter, then I'm sure you are getting glowing reports on all of them! (R.H)
Just a quick note to let you know how "the kids" are doing. In
a word - great! They are happy, funny, goofy, well adjusted
dogs that are a joy to be around. THe one picture gives you the
stark contrast between Cooper and Sam. The other picture
illustrates recently just how good they can be for a treat. They
are both very healthy and happy.
A funny little story. We are out for our walk. A man in a
car pulls beside us and asks " What kind of dogs are they? They
I tell him they are Golden Retrievers. He
looks puzzled. He says, " I thought Golden Retrievers
were much bigger and much lighter in color? I had to tell him
that what he was looking at is the original version of Golden
Retriever, not the "newer versions". I am not sure he
believed me, but it does not bother me. I have the best golden
retrievers and I know it! Sam is training well, but I must tell
you she is a bit more stubborn than Cooper, but she is learning well.
Again, I cannot thank you enough. These guys are a joy
to be around (most the time)
(Thanks Jerry. Both are Just gorgeous !!!!!
Sorry to bombard you with so many emails lately!
Samson and I just got back from his annual check up and thought I'd
let you know that he's got a perfect bill of health! Because
we've moved since his last appointment, today was his first time seeing his new vet. You will be happy to know that he's won over yet another one. Once again, the vet and all of her staff had nothing but compliments about our big guy. From his color, to his teeth, to his amazing temperament, they couldn't help but gush. Hope all is well!
Thanks again and I can't wait to
meet the new pups! Nathan & Samson
Sending you the latest pictures of Tai.I want to let you know that Tai is the
best dog. He is a happy fellow with the most
loving heart. He's smart, funny and has become my best friend. I guess you've figured out that I love him tons. I am so very grateful that you and your lovely dogs have come into my life.
Thank you so much.
Vickie, this is John and Tammy S., I know you meet alot of people. We came from Pennsylvania that year, and bought Molly Ann, she was the last female left. I can't tell you enough how amazing she is, and beautiful. I think we told you that we already had two older boys, they are brothers, they are like our kids. We wanted to share some pictures of Molly Ann with you, I forgot to mention she love's to drive the quad and jet ski, haha!! May be seeing you again, Thanks again and God Bless!
I just wanted to email you and let you know that Ruby is doing really well and we just love her so much! Yesterday she graduated from
Puppy Kindergarten at OSU and now knows sit, down, stay, roll over, and is learning very fast to walk on her leash without pulling. In the next month or so we start clicker training to continue her success. She is a smarty who will do anything for food. She also loves to jump and catch her balls and toys in the air so we are sure she is going to be an excellent Frisbee dog as she gets older and more coordinated. Next week she has her last round of puppy shots and then we plan on taking her everywhere since she loves the car (all thanks to puppy class where the car ride meant lots and lots and lots of treats!) Ruby's fur is really starting to darken up and get wavy down her back...I'm anticipating she is going to get really fluffy and her fur is so thick already. The vet also thinks she is going to get really big and guessed around 65 pounds since she was over 26 pounds at 14 weeks so we are really dedicated to keeping her in classes through her growing period since she is going to be a whole lot of puppy to handle as she gets
I hope all your other puppies are doing well as well as you and your
family. We are so happy to have such a wonderful puppy.
Thanks again, Dana G.
Long time! It is Ana from Florida. Just wanted to let you know how Honey is doing and how big she has gotten! She is still spoiled and thinks she is a Diva. Here are a few pictures of her from last week, her first time at the beach. SHE LOVED IT, it was hard to get her out of the water. I have seen the pictures of all the other puppies and it makes me want to get another, but they demand lots, and lots of
attention. Well, take care and hope you like the pictures.
he is getting so big he is very smart and he weights 28lbs. Now. My nother dogs love him especially Nala my older golden she plays with him alot or I guess you can say torments him with his toys.I think he's going to be a water nut too :) thanks again hope your family and you are doing well. Pattee.
thought you might like to see how our little "Nutmeg" is
doing. He is adjusting well to family life at the Sprys.
He checked out well at his vet appointment this past Monday and weighed in at 11.5 lbs. He has made friends with our cat Oreo with several licks on Oreo's nose. Oreo only got a little
concerned when Nutmeg barked for the first time today! The boys love him. He is a wonderful little guy. We couldn't be
happier! Thanks you for taking such good care of all of the
puppies, Meisha and Kyler and allowing us to have such a nice puppy! We will keep in touch. Vicki
Hi ...just wanted to let you know that Jax is doing very well...very ornary and growing so fast!! He's a big boy!!
Cooper n Maggie
My sweet babies...Cooper and Maggie! Growing fast as you can tell by Maggie's scratched nose playing hard!!! They love running thru the woods and exploring. Maggie is a digger Cooper is a hunter well Maggie has a very good nose too. They sleep with me every night and thanks to the great weather we are outside all the time. I'm sorry I have not sent you any pictures sooner but here you go! Take care - Traci R.
It has been a few months but I wanted to give you an update from Nikki and Ralph on our puppy Elly May :)
She is doing amazing and is a very healthy and very happy dog.
I wanted to thankyou again, she has been a wonderful addition to the family :)
Attached are a few photos!
Simba is three month old and he is doing well. He has already known: sit, high five, down, up, wait, leave it, take it, out , go, and peepee and poo on training pad. He is growing very fast, over 25 lb already. We go outside for a walk twice everyday.
Last month, Simba was re-shot first vaccine by vet and he did his second shot yesterday.
Annie, Ronnie & Simba
( And then there were 3)
Cooper, Sam and Kira
Back to vet we went. Kira is now 16.4 pounds. She is doing well. At what point do we increase her food intake? At present she is an eating machine! At what point do we start to convert her from puppy food (Taste of the Wild) to an adult food . We feed Cooper and Sam Acana single source protein. Thanks for all your help.
